I actually really like it! I don't know how to play the game because it's locked, but overall a good editor.

I also have a list of suggestions that I would like implemented

1. Select button. There would be a select button for people to choose whatever blocks/enemies/coins/etc. they what and are allowed to move them wherever they would like.

2. More enemy types. Since the only type is moving any direction, (according to the arrow on the dot) You can add stuff like a circular moving enemy. How it would work is that the person would click a spot which is the center of the circle and then the person would click another spot closer the center point dot, that would be the radius of the circle. The speed option would act the same. Another type is a linear moving enemy. How it would work is that the person would click where it would start. Then, the player would click another spot and that would be the enemies trail. They keep on making a trail until the square/rectangle is connected. Or, if the person doesn't want to make a rectangle, the person could make a custom path for the enemy and can end the path by pressing 'D' on the keyboard.

3. Adding multiple start blocks. Right now, you can only add one and it's styles, but sometimes the space for the start might be too big and we want it to be bigger. So, like the finish block, let us put multiple.

4. Keys that could control different doors. So in the editor, one key controls all doors, but it is possible to add a key and two doors, add a line from the key to one of the doors, and once played, that specific door would open.

That's all I want to cover. I would like to see these ideas implemented to the editor, but if you can't, that's fine. You don't have to do all of them, you can only do one or two if you like. Like I said, I really like the editor, nice work.

Sorry about the first 2 suggestions, the game is now officially cancelled. The play game door is just there if I ever got around to it. It doesn’t exist.


HOWEVER I do have some good news for you, for your bigger start idea. There is a work around, you can place the start on the center of where you want it to go, then fill the empty space with checkpoints!

Also, it’s already possible to add different keys to different doors! The key you place will only open the door on the same layer. So a key on layer 1 won’t open a door and layer 2. Same goes for gold doors! The gold doors will open only if the coins on that layer are collected. The buttons to switch layers are on the bottom, and to use gold doors, it’s the plus and minus sign on the keyboard while you have selected the doors

I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything in months , while working on the update in May I started discovering the limitations of the Construct 3 game engine. Making further updates like a fill tool, connecting walls, and my planned enemy rework near impossible.

For those of you who don’t know what construct 3 is, I’ll explain. Construct 3 is a block based game engine, meaning that I can only program using pre made lines of code. This made making games easier and faster, but it is much more restrictive than a raw programming language like Java, c#, and c++.

Because of these reasons I’m setting out to learn c#, the programming language used in Unity. Not only will I be able to make more complex games, I will also be able to make 3D games :0

In this process I’ve decided to scrap this game to learn to make games on Unity. I hope you guys understand. Thanks for all the love on the game I really didn’t deserve!

Couldn't you just remake this game in unity?

Not at my knowledge, I’m relearning code pretty much from scratch. And even when I get there, I will be working on other games  that I’ve had in mind for a while now.  I don’t think I’ll ever come back to this.

No pls make Updates to this! This is a really cool game :D ! Pls don´t leave. Did you read my suggestion below? It was a lot of work. I mean i could help you with the game or like chat over Discord but i dont think you´ll agree. And even if you would i don´t even know a sigle line of code. I´m not lying. I´ve never even written a single line of Code in my entire life... wat... Anyway what i was trying to say is: pLs DoN´t LeAvE

Hello again! Yes you might have said that you will stop working on the game, which yes is a shame but we can´t do anything about it, but i am trying to eventually recreate the game in an engine so that the people can play an "updated" version. But i want to ask: Should i put your name in the Credits or something? And also: is it possible for us to programm together?

I think it a Bug because i cant make the doors Yellow aka Coin-Doors... witch is wierd. Also please add Stuff from the newer TWHG  games like water where you slowly drown, slippery ice, Void and Lava, Text Bubbles for the Player, diamonds (worth 100 Coins but it should be also customizable), sharing saving and loading levels (Globaly), moving Platforms, Key Door animations, dis- and reapearing Void, More Screens like in TWHG 3 and 4, Conveyorbelts, Spinning dots or/and add so you can make a custom track for a dot so you can amke stuff that isnt possible yet.

This Picture will show some of the included as well as NOT included features in this Text, to show what I mean incase some the features aren´t clear.

In the Picture the Controls aren´t there, but just pretend that they would be there because I would deactivate in the Settings that the Constols are shown.


"Upvote" my idea if you agree and if you think this idea is stupid or nonsense and you have a reason for it, pls Reply!

It is if you really cant enter fullscreen. If youve tried pressing the button on the bottom right or pressing "F" and it´s not working then yes its a bug

I really love this game, so i've got an idea! I know you're getting bombarded with those, but if it is possible, and if you want, you can add something like this. Good luck!

I can't change the door to a golden door

Edit: Ideas: Changing the texture of things, Making things invisible, and fake walls, enemies, etc.

I have an idea: You know when you go from editor to menu and then back it doesnt save your progress? Well what if while the game is running the game would "save" the level you edited for future use. Once you have "edited" 10 levels the "Play Game" gate would unlock and you could play those 10 saved levels!

I don't know if it's supposed to do this, but moving diagonally makes the player slower?

there is a bug where you get a griddable object like enemies, coins, keys, where you pick one of those, then get out of the editor get back in, the wall gets griddable.

When you put down a vertical start it morphs into a plain 1x1 start. 

No, It morphs into a horizontal start.

i have two bugs: one is that if you collect a key and then die the door that the key opened is still open. The other is when at a wall or corner and you stop holding the arrow key, the game adjusts you to farther away from the wall. This is bad for precise movements.

1: The door might’ve stayed open because you hit a checkpoint, start, or finish before dying. If not, tell me

2: the player is designed to automatically move around corners which is why it happened. I try to outweigh the pros and cons of the feature. It’s a lot easier to stop at a wall than it is to navigate zig zags without the feature.

Hope this cleared things up a bit

Here's something: You can change different delete sizes like from 1x1 to 3x3 to 5x5. That would be cool and you could even do that with blocks. Rememeber: This is just an idea.

Add the ability to make starting text (or whatever it's called) for your level.

And the ability to alter the main levels in TWHG 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Can you add a thing where you had to move in a certain series of directions to open a door? (like a what's the password thing)

That seems a little to far reaching. This is trying to be a faithful editor for WHG 1 with some features from 2-3

I have a suggestion: make enemies that spin around a certain point. Just a suggestion...

Bug: When you die and your touching reflection and you get hit by a enemy it makes it x3 louder.

That is probably because you got hit 3 times in the same frame. And I don’t know what to do about it but I’ll put it on the list

Here are somethings you could do, You don't have to do them they're just ideas. 1: Moving Blocks. Maybe you could use the "?/" Key To like guide out its movement. (Like even maybe on Enemies too. With your mouse.) 2: Bigger area than 16x30 to build in. You could make a MULTI LEVEL. Like adding portals. Again maybe the apostrophe key. 3: A bug that's been happening lately. SO the bug I was talking about yesterday. HAPPENED AGAIN FOR 10 SECONDS. I don't know how to fix it. But I'll do research.

moving blocks is not something I’d add, the multi room idea only on 2 conditions, I have extra time, and if it doesn’t slow down the game

Hmm... The other day control issue... It lasted for 20 seconds. Here might be why:  Umm, Actually I don't know... Maybe if you hold left click for a while it starts to get wonky??

Alright, We got it. :)

Ok, Something just popped in my Brain: A sound block. So you press Ctrl (You can do shift or something too.)  and then you get a sound block. you can see it while in edit mode. But not in Test Mode. Also if you will make one, I would prefer it would be able through walls. But we won't expect it soon because the updates take time- :)

it sounds neat but I’m trying to make a faithful editor to the original WHG. While I’d say it’s unlikely that I’d add it, it’s not out of the question because it’s an easy feature.

If you could make this online this would be even better. Make level slots and saves would make it nice.

Still looking into that :) That’s very high up on the list of things I need to do. I just need the game to be as bug free as possible first!

There's a bug where You cannot change anything with speed, or Background, Type, Cursor. Or any controls on the bottom. You can only place and delete objects. Also I can't get out of it.

That’s weird, could you please tell me what you did before that could have caused it?

I just found something: The controls changed. 

Wait that's odd. I tested it and then went back and then It was fixed. That's nice.

Can you add rotating enemys?

I want to rework the enemies completely so I might, rotating enemies is on the to do list.

Ive noticed that if you have enemies at different speeds, the never sync up.

Can you add an auto connect for walls? i'm tired of selecting the right types for the walls.

Edit: And add the abiliy to undo and redo.
